PhD in Molecular Biology by UAM. He is currently Director of the IMDEA Food Institute and scientific director of the Nutritional and Food Genomics Platform GENYAL.  Leading expert in the genomics technologies and their applications. He has been in charge of the set-up of the Genomics Unit of the Fundación Parque Científico de Madrid. He has ample scientific experience in the field of cellular and molecular biology specializing in gene expression mechanisms. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Cluster of Technological Innovation and Talent in Biomedical Technologies and Biotechnology of the Community of Madrid. He collaborates in various industrial and teaching activities at the Complutense University of Madrid and other institutions.
